As the world evolves, so do we.
Our rebrand to HAUS Builders is the embodiment of founder Mike Allen’s evolution from expert tradesman and finish carpenter to visionary builder.
For over 25 years, we’ve fused time-honored construction techniques with the latest in building science and design innovation.
Our homes are built to last for generations—with lower energy use, cleaner air, and deeply personalized design.
As the world evolves, so do we. And so do our homes.

Mike Allen, Founder + Builder
Mike Allen began his career as a cabinetmaker and finish carpenter. Today, he leads HAUS Builders as a Certified Phius Home Builder (CPHB) and seasoned expert in high-performance home construction. From custom cabinetry to cutting-edge insulation systems, Mike brings unmatched craftsmanship and curiosity to every job site.
His community roots run just as deep as the foundations he builds. Mike has actively served on multiple building industry boards, volunteered his time and skills as a dedicated firefighter, and generously donated four custom-built playhouses to support various local fundraisers, including Rochester’s cherished “Once Upon A Playhouse.” He believes that building homes is not just about constructing physical spaces; it also means fostering and nurturing stronger, more vibrant communities.
When he’s not on a job site, Mike finds restoration and rhythm in the quiet work of beekeeping, tending his farm, and scuba diving—pursuits that reflect the same patience, precision, and respect for nature that guide every HAUS project.
